If I could relive just one day
If I had just one day in my life that I could relive it would be October 11, 2010. Our youngest daughter Destiny had just left for her honeymoon and all of of us that traveled to Texas took a day to enjoy ourselves. Randy, Rob J. & Sue took a boat out on Lake Travis, and Sharon Rob B. & Sonnet went to San Antonio to take pictures of the house my parents lived in when they were stationed there when my Dad was in the Army. Ed and I decided to stay back at the hotel and just spend a sweet day at the hotel swimming and being together. It is such a wonderful memory and even more special because at that time I did not know I would only have Ed in my life till the following March. I love and miss him so much. RIP Ed I will never forget this day.

how Not To Solve a Murder
Police: Ms Anthony, "Why did you take 31 day to report your 2 and 1/2 year old daughter missing?............ Casey: "Oh well I ran around everywhere I thought she might be trying to find her. I (sniffle, sniffle) went to every bar I could think of she might have been to.. I went to ALL my old boyfriends' houses. I even made the sacrifice of stealing Grandma's, Mom, and my best friend Amy's credit cards and checkbooks so we could be sure to have enough beer, chips, and lingerie." Police: "O.K. can you take us to where you dropped her off?" Casey: "Sure Sawgrass Apts" Police:"Ah noone has lived here for 5 months" Casey: "Really?, Well darn maybe I dropped her off at work. Let's go to my office at Universal" Police: "O.K. we're here" Casey: "Damn I forgot I don't work here after all." Police: "Now Ms. Anthony there really is no nanny is there/" Casey: Yes my friend Jeffrey takes his son Zach there too." Police: "Jeffrey does your son go to the same nanny as Caylee Anthony/" Jeffrey::"I don't even have a son!"

Trina Schart Hyman
As I was sitting here pondering why reading to a child seems to be a lost art. I must have read eleventy billion books to my children and countless other children over the years and it just reminded me of one of my favorite illustrators od children's books. Her name is Trina Schart Hyman and man could she bring a book alive with her artristry. I wish she was still alive so she could illustrate many more. Here are a couple of my favs.

A picture speaks a thousand words
This picture hangs on the wall by my recliner and has since Tori was in second grade. She drew this picture for us on "Grandparent's Day" at her school. I've studied it over the years and noticed that she really got us captured as if her mind was a camera. Look at my curly hair (which is no longer curly) Our glasses, Ed's beard and the way we have flowers, trees, & leaves floating above our heads. (and maybe a few butterflies) lol

Joseph "Joe" Carter
I shed my first tear for Joe this morning after his passing on Friday. We used to be really close to Joe and his wife Jodie and with the way of life we had gone our seperate ways. It was no big falling out or anything, just a growing apart thing. I just quit going over and then Ed and Randy kept going over and even they finally quit going over to their house. Joe was an avid fisherman and he loved the river with a passion. He loved camping, fishing, boating, biking, & skateboarding. He also loved rock music. Especially Metallica and Disturbed. He passed so quickly at the age of 32 that quite a few of us never got to say a proper goodbye. So to Joe RIP you will be sadly missed and to the rest of us hold your friends and family a little closer and longer each time you say goodbye.

If you like wild game
Another restaurant we visited while in Texas offered some unusual food to an old Indiana gal like me. It was called Fuddrukkers and they served wild boar, elk, buffalo, & ostrich among other things.

Chuy"s
When in Texas for the wedding of our youngest daughter we had the pleasure of eating the most awesome authentic Mexcian food at a place called Chuy's. We liked it so much we actually went there twice. I don't think it had anything to do with the margarittas.
