Well, I'm afraid I'm going to "date" myself here but...here goes. Does anyone remember diagramming sentences? I can remember taking up pages of notebook paper diagramming sentences. I think teaching this in school has gone the way of long division. Remember how much paper that took up? It is just amazing to me when I look at my grandaughter's homework and think man our homework was nothing compared to what they learn today. The work she is doing in 8th grade was what we learned as juniors. I guess that is how we have gotten such grand inventions as computers,cell phones, ipods, and wii's. Each generation just gets smarter and smarter. Well just my thought for the day.
